305, Returning newbie!
Posted by jordans, Sun Sep-09-12 10:04 AM
Hi all,

I used to come to this site several years ago (don't even remember how long it's been or what my username was, so I had to make a new one, haha...) Anyway, I've been in school and busy with traveling and such, but now I'm back in America once again and I graduate with a B.A. in English this December!

I'm trying to break into the publishing world in two different ways- obviously I'd like to be a published writer, but I'd also just settle for getting an entry-level editing job at some publishing house, too! Or any job at all, really...

So, I plan to use the site to force myself to dedicate more time to writing, and if there is another set of 2YN classes in January, I'd love to participate in that again! (Tried it and failed before due to high amount of homework...)

Anyway, I look forward to being here! :D

Welcome back to our little writer-home on the internet! It sounds like you've been really busy with life.

The publishing world has certainly changed in the last few years, which is why you'll now see a forum for both Traditional Publishing and Indie Publishing here on the website. It makes sense. This site is all about creating a career with your writing, and it doesn't matter the way.

The workshops start up again in 2013, and that includes the 2 Year Novel course! Zette is preparing to launch it again in January after taking a couple years off and updating the course (the course is now out in ebook). I'm excited to go through it again! The listing of workshops can be found here in the Announcement board. The list will be updated as we sign on more teachers, so keep an eye on it!

Settle back in and join in the fun!

Welcome back! We've changed around the site some so if there's something you're looking for and can't find, please ask. And yes, Zette is once again offering her two year novel course in Jan. I believe. If you have any questions, just ask.

Hi Jordans! Welcome back to FM!

Be ready in December to sign up for 2YN -- and remember that November is NaNoWriMo. Lots of fun and madness there.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
