Hello! I'm not really new, but I haven't been here in a very, very long time, so I thought I would reintroduce myself! I've been a writer since I could hold a pencil, but I took some time off from fiction to earn a PhD in Information Science. I got into a job that hasn't been good for me and haven't written much at all since I finished my dissertation two-ish years ago. Right now I'm struggling because the ideas are not coming to me as easily as they used to. I know that that's partly because I have to write to make the ideas flow, but it gets hard to look at that empty Scrivener page. Anyway, I'm glad to be back! Thanks for reading!

I remember you. Glad to see you're trying to make time to write again. I know the struggles of trying to come up with ideas when your muse has taken a very long vacation. Let me suggest Justin's Daily Exercise Board:

Welcome back to FM! I was about to suggest the daily prompts as a way to get you going again, but I see someone already beat me to it. It's great you already found one that inspired you. Hopefully it will be the start of an avalanche of words.
