I plan to read about 50 books this year. I really hope I go over that number, but for now the 50 mark will do.

I started reading the Narnia series to my kids for their bedtime story. We finally finished the first book tonight.

The first book explains how Narnia began and how the Witch came to be in that world.

This historical romance is about a girl who ends up marrying a devious man, the same one who ruined her chance to be with the man she truly loves. Although they agree to maintain a marriage of convenience, their desires get the best of them eventually growing into love.

Just finished reading this book to my kids. They seem to be enjoying the series, which makes it fun for me. I can't wait to start the 3rd book tomorrow night.

I won't bother with a description here; since it's been made into a movie, most of you probably already know what it's about. I will say that the book gives you a better understanding of the story.

I just finished reading the third book in this series. Reading these books for bedtime is making the idea of going to bed less horrible for my kids.

This book is about a young boy, in a distant land far away from Narnia, who runs away with a Narnian Talking Horse to the land of Narnia.

This Historical Romance is about a young woman who is arranged to marry in old man to maintain her family's blue blood standards. Not wanting to go through the marriage, she runs away from school to seduce a well-known actor and womanizer in order to ruin herself and scare away her fiance.

I just finished reading the 5th book in the Narnia series to my kids. This was a very good book and I hear that it's going to be made into a movie as well.

In this book, Edmund and Lucy come back to the world of Narnia along with their annoying cousin Eustace. They end up in the ocean and have to be rescued by Caspian and his men. The three kids go along with Caspian and his men to find the eight Lords that Caspian's uncle sent out to explore and to find Aslan's country, encountering many wonders and adventures along the way.

This book is actually a novella. It is the beginning of this series of books about a woman named Anna who happens to be a werewolf.

In the novella, Anna has been abused by the males in her pack for all the four years she's been a werewolf. Upon learning of some recent human killings, she ends up calling the head Alpha werewolf, who dominates all the packs throughout North America, about the activities that her pack's Alpha is doing. The head Alpha sends his son, Charles (the enforcer) to investigate and kill the guilty parties involved.

Charles, who is also an Alpha werewolf, gets more than what he bargains for when he meets Anna. He realizes that not only is Anna a rare Omega werewolf, but that she's the one he must claim as his mate. He immediately sees that someone has abused her and ends up learning that not only has she been raped and beaten by the males in her pack, but that she was also turned against her will (a rule that should never be broken). Now Charles has to bring down the persons responsible for both the human killings and for what was done to Anna (all this while trying to get Anna to trust him as her mate).

This is the second time I read this book. It's the continuation of the Alpha and Omega story.

In this book, Anna goes back with Charles to his home in Montana as his mate. After the abuse she endured from her former pack, Anna has to push her anxieties aside in order to get use to her new pack, trust in this man who claims her as his mate, and understand her new position as an Omega wolf. However, soon after they get there, Anna and Charles have to go out into the Montana wilds to hunt down a rogue werewolf before it threatens her new pack.

This is the second time I read this book. It is the next story to the Alpha and Omega series.

In this book, Anna and Charles are set to a summit to present their Alpha's, Charles' father, proposition to reveal themselves to humans. However, the most feared Alpha in Europe is against the plan and they soon find out that someone else is as well. When Anna gets attacked by vampires using magic that only werewolves use, Charles and Anna must combine their talents to hunt down whoever is responsible or risk losing everything.

Once again I finished another great Lisa Kleypas book!

This book is about a woman, Celia Vallerand, who's husband is killed and she's abducted by pirates on their way to New Orleans. She's saved by another pirate named, Griffin, who has a mysterious past and seems to stir desires in Celia that her husband never did. When she learns who Griffin really is, she knows she must stay away from this man, but fears that it's impossible. Things become dangerous for them when Celia's captor comes after Griffin and she learns that her husband is alive, a prisoner of the same dangerous man. Celia and Griffin soon find that they must fight for their love against all obstacles.

This is the third book in 'the immortals' series by Noël.

In this book, Ever, a new immortal after her soul mate fed her an elixir to save her life, tries to find a way to reverse the spell rogue immortal placed on her soul mate, Damien, which prevents her from ever touch Damien for fear it will kill him. This quest causes her run in to a guy named Jude, who threatens Ever's love with Damien as she is strangely drawn to him. However, despite these feelings towards Jude, she ends up going to him for help to develop her magic powers in order to find what she's looking for before she loses Damien forever.

This story is about a female slave named Sable who makes a bold bid for freedom during the Civil War and ends up fleeing to the North. However, her choice ends up hurting the Union Major Raimond Le Veq, the man who she fell in love with. Their paths cross again in New Orleans when Raimond's mother choices Sable for his bride in a marriage of convenience to restore the fortunes of the House of Le Veq. Now Sable must find a way to convince Raimond that she was never a Rebel spy and prove how much she loves him.

This is a re-read for me. It's actually the sequel to 'Through the Storm' and follows the brother of the character in the first book.

This story is about a woman who finds out, a year later, that her husband isn't dead. The man who claims to be her husband looks and knows everything that her husband would, but the one thing that causes doubt is his treatment to her. The man she knew as her husband was cruel to her, but the man making his claims is charming and loving to her. She has to make a choice to admit that he is either a stranger or her husband.

This is one of my Christian romance novels, which turned out to be better than what I expected. I have another series by this author and a co-author that, while I found to be interesting, was not completely captivating like some of my other novels. I wasn't sure if this book would be more interesting, but I glad it was.
