I'd like to take a moment on behalf of Zette (she's getting a few much needed days with her husband) and the rest of the FM moderators to wish each of you a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year. May your words flow freely and actually tell the story you want to tell.

If that's too over the top, I hope you remain inspired toward achieving your goals -- writing and otherwise. Never give up.

Happy New Year to all, and a Happy Hogmanay too.

I was embarrassed when I read a news artilcle that said most people don't know the words to Auld Lang Syne ('s' not 'z') so I Googled Auld Lang Syne words and found a mournful, but rather good You Tube musical version. Memories made me sort of sad as me dear old Mum, being of Scots heritage always wanted a 'first footer' in the door carrying a 'sheaf of loaf' and a piece of coal to give food and warmth in the new year.

Lang may yor lumb reeke. (I hope that spelling is right.)
