Community Rules: Underage Members

YOUNG MEMBERS:

If you are under 18 years of age, I request that you use a pen name instead of your real name in your profile. If you gave your real name when you joined, you have two options. One -- From Edit your preference, choose Yes in the Hide your profile box. Two -- While you are logged in, send me a private message asking me to change your member name. Send me the pen name you want to use.

If you are under 13 years of age, you must go to Edit your preference and choose Yes in the Hide your profile box. Not doing is sufficient cause for me to delete your membership.

While you have adult access and privileges to the majority of the site, I do request that you request a membership in the private Young Writers' Scene, and at least check in from time to time for announcements exclusively for members younger than 18. Send me a private message requesting access to the board. Include your age, real name, and birthdate.

And a note for the under-13 crowd

If you are under 13, I would really appreciate an email from your parents, letting me know that they have looked over the site and it's okay with them that you're here. They should include your community member name in their e-mail.

I do not and will not censor language on the site, though I request that all members rate applicable posts as PG-13 or R, neither of which you should read unless it's okay with your folks. Because of this policy, some parents may not wish to have their kids here, and if yours don't I ask that you respect that.
